Independent filmmaking is hard to pull off even once, and the period of time between projects for any filmmaker makes it challenging to improve on craft. Our goal was to create a repeatable model that would allow us to produce one short film per month, laddering up to a larger body of work. It’s no accident that today COUNTDOWN is named after the work of this film anthology, which showed that the highest quality of production—entertainment—can still be executed at scale.
